The Toys Of Princes
Ghislain de Diesbach
Introduction by Richard Howard
Imagine nineteenth-century royalty, Twilight Zone twists, urbane humor, and loving characterization.
Certain souls, too lofty to yield to their passions but too ardent to abandon them, hesitate their entire existence between the heart's inclinations and the mind's demands; and if they ever bring themselves to make a choice, their decision is discovered to be more fatal than their previous uncertainty.
