About the Author

John Hollander is a Professor Emeritus at Yale University. He has served as a Chancellor of The Academy of American Poets. Since being selected by W.H. Auden in 1958 for the Yale Series of Younger Poets, Hollander has published over fifteen collections of his own work and has served as editor of many anthologies including the two-volume American Poetry: The Nineteenth Century published by Library of America.
